Hi - my name is Ishaan Mishra. I’ve been working in the design field for over 11 years and currently work at the New York City offices of Bleacher Report as the Multimedia Director with a focus on innovation and emerging media.
I had a hand in making Bleacher Report the definitive social voice of sports – creating and collaborating on the culture of sports for the next generation of fans. A vision for making sports bigger than games has led to unmatched engagement on social media, where it consistently ranks as the No. 1 publisher not just in the sports category, but across all media brands. Bleacher Report also provides an industry-leading fan experience on mobile devices through its top-rated app that I helped conceptualize and design.
I am also the Co-Founder of Basketball Forever, the worlds-largest independent sports media channel, and the first of its kind Posterizes Art Collective and Digital Magazine. It’s social-first content reaches young audiences across mobile platforms, with over 80 million fans turning to us every month for all things hoops, both on and off the court.
At the heart of all of my projects is a focus on experimentation and innovation to give audiences content at the bleeding edge of technology with a consistent tightly woven narrative thread tying it to the emotional sentiment of our fans.
I’m fascinated by visual design, interactivity, motion, and the constantly evolving technology we work with every day. I believe the future of content lies at the intersection of science and the liberal arts, where storytelling and technology meet to enrich the human experience.
Viewing myself as an unshakable optimist, I believe in a bright collaborative future and our ability to build it together. I am a a strong conceptual thinker with a firm grasp of the digital landscape and a wistful imagination for what is left to be done.
I believe that as designers and builders we need to make things that give the most optimal human experience possible for the most users possible. I’ve produced documentaries, branded pieces, experiential content, mobile games, interactive experiences and social campaigns. With a keen sense of story, I’m able to bring a compelling narrative to each project, ensuring a message that resonates with any audience.
I’ve worked with some of the world’s biggest brands, agencies, leagues and networks including the NBA, NFL, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Google, Samsung and many more. I have a strong belief in the power of consistency, delivered with an element of surprise will lead to sales, brand health and some awards along the way. I strive to add value to a brand by creating culturally relevant work instead of just making ads.
